OUR STORY

It all started with a surfboard… Actually, it was a very large stand-up paddle board which Andrew’s 5 foot tall daughter spent hours trying to load onto her roof rack. After a few hours, she had to call it quits.

That’s when the idea for SlydaRak was born. A revolutionary concept which was created to help make life a little bit easier (and to easily take more on your next adventure).

Andrew spent the next few years designing, testing and re-designing the idea. Tinkering away to create the ultimate travel and adventure companion. A roof rack which was simple, didn’t require height or strength to load, yet still left enough space to carry all the good stuff.

And finally, the idea has come to life. SlydaRak is ready to accompany you, wherever life takes you.

MEET THE FOUNDER

Andrew has always been an avid surfer, born in Sydney, he has grown up surfing up and down the East coast of Australia. 

Living on the Gold Coast has only fuelled his passion for getting out on the water and taking advantage of the great outdoors.

This is what pushed him to start looking for solutions to the constant struggle of surfboard & paddle board transportation and other bulky items you need to take on your adventure trips.

Completely embracing the saying 'If you cant find what you're looking for... Then just make it yourself' Andrew dove right in and made the solution for the problem every outdoor enthusiast faces when transporting their gear.

Coming from a background in construction and metal work Andrew has all the skills needed to create and design all the innovative products for the Slydarak range.
